Edmonds Endoscopy Center has an immediate need for a full time Insurance Verification Specialist.
At Edmonds Endoscopy Center, we offer our patients complete care of the digestive system. This includes everything from the evaluation to treatment, including endoscopy procedures.
What You Wil Do (Job Summary)
You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of insurance claims by verifying patient insurance information and coordinating with insurance providers. Verify patient insurance coverage by contacting insurance companies through phone, online portals, or other established methods. Obtain and document accurate insurance information, including policy numbers, coverage dates, and any pre-authorization requirements. Maintain detailed and accurate records of insurance verifications for each patient. Update electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant databases with verified insurance information.
Other duties include -
Operate telephone system, receives incoming messages, and directs calls to destination
· Ensures all required forms are placed in designated areas of the patients chart
· Daily preparation of charts for next day's surgeries within required deadline
· Admits patients and processes their paperwork, collects deposits due and/or fee payment
· Interacts appropriately and effectively with patients/others.
Monday - Friday daytime work hours.
This is not a remote work position. This position is in the office in Edmonds, WA, and may need to cover our 2 other locations in the area, in Kirkland and Seattle.

Required Skills
· High School Diploma or GED
· Insurance verification experience in a medical setting is required
· Familiarity with medical terminology and coding.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and insurance providers.
· Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software.
