We are a primary care office in Westland, MI that see patients of all ages from newborns to geriatrics. Dr. Abraham Husseini is the only physician in the office and is owner of the practice. There are no mid-level providers. We are located off the corner of Cherry Hill and Venoy at 32643 Cherry Hill Road, Westland, MI 48186.

We are looking for 1 full time medical assistant/medical receptionist to work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

We are looking for an experienced individual able to work in a fast paced and busy environment. This role requires someone who is able to multitask, able to adapt to the needs of the office, and able to learn new skills. We are looking for someone that will allow the clinic to grow and operate efficiently to better serve our patients.

In this role, you will serve as a front desk receptionist and medical assistant. We use Practice Fusion as an EMR and Practice Suite as a payment collection/billing software. If you do not have experience with these EMRs/software, we will train you.

As part of the front desk duties, you will be expected to answer phone calls when they come in to schedule and/or reschedule patients. You will also be expected to call back any missed calls that come in during the day and from overnight. You will be expected to perform reminder calls to patients to remind them of upcoming appointments. If needed, you will offer reschedules. You will be expected to check in patients, verify their insurance, verify their eligibility, confirm their demographic information and collect co-payments if needed. You will be expected to respond to fax transmissions. This is not a comprehensive list but the minimum of what to expect.

As part of the MA duties, you will be expected to collect accurate vitals, room patients in clean rooms, collect blood and urine samples as ordered, perform URI swabs as ordered, prepare blood, urine, and swab samples for pick up by lab, perform EKG (will train if needed), perform Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTS) (will train if needed), give vaccines as ordered and document in vaccines registery, prepare supplies for joint injections, prepare supplies for the procedures such as PAP smear, and turn-over rooms to be ready for next patient. This is not a comprehensive list but the minimum of what to expect.

All employees are expected to perform the following:

- Keep all areas of clinic clean. This includes wiping down all surfaces and sweeping/mopping/vacuuming floors daily (and during shift during winter months).

- refrain from food and drink (other than water) at work stations.

- refrain from phone use during working hours (must be stored away).

Your hourly pay will be commensurate with the experience, skills, and qualifications that you bring to this position.
