Job Summary
The Chen Wang Research Group is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and ambitious Postdoctoral Research Fellow to lead a project at the intersection of additive manufacturing, polymer chemistry, and materials science. The successful candidate will lead the optimization of this printing platform, characterize the fundamental reaction kinetics, and validate its translation into high-impact energy and medical applications. Candidates preferably hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field, backed by a strong track record of first-author publications. This role requires hands-on expertise in vat photopolymerization 3D printing (SLA/DLP), custom resin formulation, and nanoscale characterization techniques like SEM. A deep understanding of polymer chemistry-specifically photopolymerization kinetics, polymerization-induced phase separation (PIPS), or dynamic covalent chemistry-is essential. Ideally, the preferred candidate will also bring experience in 3D printer customization, software/hardware integration, and CAD modeling skills.
