Job description

Are you passionate about public service and interested in a law enforcement career? The Seaside Police Department seeks dedicated individuals to join our team as Volunteer Reserve Police Officers. This is an exciting opportunity to support your community while gaining valuable experience alongside full-time police officers.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting full-time officers with patrols and responding to emergencies.
- Enforcing local and state laws by issuing citations and warnings.
- Participating in community events and traffic control.
- Conducting foot and bike patrols, assisting with prisoner transport, and aiding in criminal investigations.
- Operating and maintaining police equipment, including firearms and radios.

Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen, 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills.
- No felony convictions.
- Ability to complete academy training, field training, and participate in ongoing police duties.
