Job description

  • We are looking for a hands‐on Process Engineer with strong PLC and automation experience to join our team. This role is highly collaborative, supporting scale‐up activities, process testing, data analysis, and communication of results. The engineer will work across production and engineering teams to develop and refine processes, troubleshoot plant issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead process scale‐up, testing plans, data analysis, and reporting of results.
  • Develop and refine process methods, controls, and formulations to meet quality and production standards.
  • Document and prepare production specifications for manufacturing operations.
  • Design and execute testing procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage troubleshooting and resolution of plant production issues.
  • Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to implement process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Support programming and automation initiatives, including PLC programming and HMI design.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members.
  • Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and optimization projects.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in process engineering or automation.
  • Strong background in programming and automation systems.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with Allen‐Bradley CompactLogix PLCs and Wonderware Intouch Edge HMIs preferred.
  • Experience with ladder logic programming, HMI design, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital sensors (0‐10V, 4‐20mA, 24VDC, 120VAC).
  • Ability to read and work with electrical wiring diagrams.

Preferred Skills:

  • SQL coding experience.
  • Understanding of IP networking.
  • PLC cabinet design experience.
  • Strong problem‐solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
