The Plastic Weld position is part of the Production Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and repairing plastic components using various techniques and tools. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products while adhering to safety standards.This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following):

  • Perform plastic welding using techniques such as hot air welding, extrusion welding, and laser welding.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding methods.
  • Inspect welded seams and products for quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain and calibrate welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Train and mentor junior welders as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in welding or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a plastic welder or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of plastic materials and welding techniques.
  • Proficient in using welding equipment and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
