Description
Summit Bodyworks, a premier builder of tool trucks, mobile libraries, moving trucks and other specialty vehicles has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Plant Administrator. The Plant Administrator oversees the daily administrative operations of a manufacturing facility. This position will manage office functions, coordinate schedules, handle documentation, and support plant management in ensuring smooth operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage daily administrative activities, such as correspondence, filing, and office supply management and equipment maintenance.
  • Generating purchase orders and maintaining inventory levels for plant and office supplies.
  • Tracking employee hours, attendance, and PTO.
  • Assisting with onboarding for new hires and managing site access for contractors.
  • Serving as a point of contact for employees regarding company policies or systems.
  • Preparing daily, weekly, or monthly plant performance reports and safety documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate asset registers and documentation for compliance audits and safety inspections.
  • Coordinating facility logistics, such as transportation, driver arrangements or company events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
  • Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate by providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
  • Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing facility, with a track record of successful interdepartmental collaboration
  • Detail- Oriented
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and MVR in good standing.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

  • Compensation Range: $22.00 - $25.00

  • Shift: 1st shift - 5 days a week
