Base Pay: $22.00/hour
Performance-Based Earning Potential: Up to $35.00/hour
Two Trades. One Full-Time Career.
Pest Hunters of Greenville and Humbug Lighting of Greenville are seeking a dependable, motivated Full-Time Pest Control & Lighting Technician to join our growing team.
This is a unique year-round position combining two skilled service trades:
Pest Control Technician with Pest Hunters of Greenville
and
Lighting Installation Technician with Humbug Lighting of Greenville.
Rather than hiring employees for only one seasonal function, we cross-train our technicians so they can develop multiple skills, work across our service businesses, and have opportunities to increase their earnings as their capabilities and performance grow.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, is comfortable interacting with customers, and wants to be rewarded for excellent performance.
Compensation
Guaranteed Base Pay: $22.00/hour
In addition to competitive base pay, technicians are eligible for performance-based compensation that can increase total earnings to the equivalent of up to $35.00/hour.

Pest Control Technician Responsibilities
As a Pest Control Technician, you will be trained to provide residential and commercial pest-management services.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Performing scheduled pest-control services

  • Identifying common household and exterior pests

  • Maintaining required treatment and regulatory records
  • Following all pesticide, PPE, environmental, and safety requirements
The company will provide training and support for obtaining applicable South Carolina pest-control licenses and certifications.
Lighting Installation Technician Responsibilities
As a Lighting Installation Technician, you will be trained to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and remove multiple types of professional lighting systems.
Work may include:
  • Landscape lighting
  • Architectural lighting
  • Permanent roofline/accent lighting
  • Holiday and Christmas lighting
  • Residential lighting
  • Commercial lighting
Responsibilities may include:
  • Installing professional lighting systems
  • Installing low-voltage wiring
  • Installing transformers, controllers, and related components
  • Installing landscape and architectural fixtures
  • Installing permanent lighting systems
  • Installing holiday roofline lighting, trees, wreaths, garland, and other décor
  • Working safely from ladders
  • Troubleshooting lighting systems
  • Replacing and repairing components
  • Performing service calls

  • Work at heights when performing lighting installations
  • Bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive physical activities
  • Enter and exit service vehicles frequently
  • Load and unload trucks and trailers
  • Wear required PPE
  • Perform pest-control and lighting work safely and efficiently
Driver Requirements
Candidates must:
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record
  • Be comfortable operating company vehicles
  • Be able to safely tow or learn to tow company trailers when required
Schedule
This is a full-time, year-round position.
Typical work schedules will vary depending upon season and customer demand.
Because the company operates both pest-control and lighting businesses, work assignments will change throughout the year.
During peak lighting season, additional hours and schedule flexibility may be required.
Some Saturday work may be required based upon customer demand, weather, and seasonal workload.
