  • Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with quality management systems such as AS9100 and ISO standards
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes using methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and 8D
  • Generate and maintain quality documentation including First Article Inspection, Production Part Approval Process, and control plans
  • Monitor and report quality KPIs such as First Pass Yield and inspection performance metrics
  • Train and mentor junior metrology engineers and quality technicians on CMM programming, GD&T, and inspection best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 or more years of experience in metrology, quality engineering, or precision inspection within a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced proficiency in CMM programming using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar metrology software
  • Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.5 standards, and datum structure interpretation
  • Experience working within AS9100 or ISO-compliant quality management systems
  • Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators
  • Strong technical writing, documentation, and communication skills
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and quality improvement methodologies

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications in GD&T, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, or Certified Quality Engineer
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing industries
  • Lead auditor certification or experience conducting internal and external quality audits
