Job Title: Order Packing Team Member
Job Type: Full Time/Swing Shift

Job Summary

The Order Packing Team Member is responsible for accurately packing customer orders according to company standards and client requirements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring order accuracy, maintaining productivity goals, supporting inventory flow, and delivering a high-quality customer experience through consistent fulfillment practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather all required tools, packaging materials, and client inserts at the start of each shift.
  • Stock packing stations during the first 15 minutes of each shift and the first 15 minutes after returning from lunch.
  • Pack customer orders accurately and efficiently using computer-generated and printed packing lists.
  • Meet established productivity standards, with a target of 60 orders per hour.
  • Follow all standardized packing procedures, including:
    • Verifying client and customer information.
    • Verifying order pages, SKUs, quantities, and total item counts.
    • Packaging products, inserts, and packing slips as required.
    • Ensuring all products are included before sealing packages.
    • Applying shipping labels correctly and professionally.
    • Sorting completed packages into the appropriate carrier bins.
  • Break down empty boxes throughout the day and place them in designated receiving bins.
  • Communicate inventory shortages or non-pickable products to replenishment and inventory teams.
  • Follow established procedures for handling orders that cannot be completed due to inventory issues.
  • Pack and complete orders once inventory has been replenished.
  • Assist with training new packers as directed by the Team Lead.
  • Provide feedback to the Team Lead regarding trainee progress and performance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packing area throughout the shift.
  • Complete end-of-day cleaning duties, including sweeping, trash removal, workstation organization, and proper storage of tools and equipment.
  • Check out with the Team Lead before leaving and complete all required end-of-shift documentation.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Team Lead.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, fulfillment, shipping, packing, or production experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate warehouse software systems.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift 50 lbs throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
