Organization Overview 
Excel Academy is a network of 5 schools in Massachusetts and Rhode Island that prepares students in grades 5-12 to succeed in high school and college and engage productively in their communities. The majority of our 1,700 students identify as Latinx or Hispanic and will be the first in their families to graduate from college. Families choose Excel because our students consistently outperform their peers in growth and achievement and are 5x more likely to graduate from college.

Start Date & Salary: August 2026. $37,580 - $54,080, commensurate with experience. 
 
Your Impact
  • Provide small group or 1:1 behavioral & academic support to a student with special needs
  • Provide 1:1 student support based on specific needs outlined in their IEP
  • Provide inclusion support to students with special needs in a substantially-separate placement
  • Work with staff to develop behavioral intervention plans and implement plans to ensure student learning and classroom behavior goals are met
  • Work with staff to develop and provide academic support plans for student(s) with special needs
  • Confer and collaborate with teachers to ensure accommodations are met in inclusive settings; and
  • Provide input for student’s IEP
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree preferred.
  • Experience working with students with substantial behavioral needs.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate with staff, school administrators, parents/guardians, and students.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and development-focused team culture.
