We are looking for friendly, outgoing individuals to join our team as Camping & Climbing Retail Sales Associates at our Logan store. As a member of the Al's team, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive shopping experience for every customer.
At Al's, we carry top-tier camping and climbing gear for everyone-from weekend campers to experienced backcountry adventurers and climbers. Working with the best brands in the industry, you'll have the opportunity to assist customers with high-quality gear from companies like The North Face, Big Agnes, Kelty, Therm-a-Rest, Black Diamond, Petzl, Osprey, MSR, La Sportiva, Mammut, and more. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable and eager to share their expertise and passion to help customers find the right gear for their adventures.
We're seeking candidates who are passionate about the outdoors and committed to delivering excellent customer service. In addition to working with the top brands in the industry, you'll have access to employee-only discounts and exclusive vendor deals!
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a positive customer experience through friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service.
  • Build and apply product knowledge to provide accurate recommendations for camping and climbing gear.
  • Assist customers in locating merchandise and selecting the right products for their needs and skill level.
  • Answer questions and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure accurate communication of pricing, promotions, and product information.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor while supporting merchandising and stocking efforts.
  • Stay informed on new products, industry trends, and outdoor gear innovations.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support store goals and overall customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
Required
  • Actively participates in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, or rock climbing.
  • Strong interest in outdoor recreation and willingness to learn product knowledge.
  • Comfortable engaging customers and initiating conversations.

    • What is the schedule for this job?
    • The schedule for this position includes day and evening shifts Monday through Saturday between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM, with open availability required on Saturdays. Shifts are available in 4-, 6-, and 8-hour blocks. This can be a full-time or part-time role, with hours ranging from 18 to 40 per week. Weekend, holiday, and evening availability is required.
