Job description

EcoLube Recovery (ELR), a Pacific Northwest owned and operated company, is seeking a dedicated Class A Route Driver - Used Oil Recycling to join our team in Boise, ID. As a key member of our operations, you will drive a Class A truck along established routes to collect containerized waste such as used oil filters and spent antifreeze, while also delivering new products to our valued customers. This role is essential to supporting our mission of providing compliant, efficient, and environmentally responsible recycling solutions. ELR offers a positive and safe work environment, opportunities for growth, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

Responsibilities
  • Drive a Class A truck on established routes to collect containerized waste (used oil filters, used absorbents, spent antifreeze) from customer locations
  • Deliver new products, such as antifreeze, to customers as scheduled
  • Assist in organizing and executing route service events efficiently, including responding to call-in service requests
  • Communicate regularly with Customer Service and Dispatch throughout the day
  • Load and unload containerized waste and new products at customer sites and ELR facilities
  • Inspect containers to ensure proper labeling and compliance
  • Accurately measure and dispense new antifreeze as needed
  • Complete all required customer and DOT paperwork accurately
  • Promote ELR services to prospective customers and inform existing customers of new products or services
  • Address and resolve service complaints, involving management when appropriate
  • Maintain cleanliness and good operating condition of the collection truck, both inside and out
  • Comply with all company safety, environmental, and standard operating procedures
  • Act professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Class A CDL required
  • Tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain required
  • 2 years’ experience driving Class A vehicles preferred
  • 1-2 years of route-based driving experience highly preferred
  • Hazardous Materials endorsement and TWIC preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to meet DOT physical requirements
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Manual dexterity to drive and operate equipment
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move more than 75 lbs
