Duties: Develop product evaluation test solutions for high performance analog and mixed signal integrated circuits (IC). Design, develop and debug cost effective evaluation test HW/SW solutions for characterization and qualification in the wafer probe and package environments. Work with design engineers in defining/developing evaluation test methodologies, test plans, and test modes. Define/Create evaluation test schematics and work with lay-out engineers for creation of printed circuit boards (PCB). Debug evaluation test programs to correlate evaluation test solution results to design engineering simulations and production test programs. Engage and support local and offshore application teams to resolve product use case questions and problems after production release. Assist with customer returns and the Failure Analysis teams. Participate in New Product Development teams and evaluate new evaluation test systems for future applications. Manage, create, and maintain project schedules that align with product introduction and release dates.

Partial telecommute benefit (2 days/week work from home).

Requirements: Must have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical discipline (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 12 months of experience as a Design Evaluation Engineer or related occupation automating various tests with lab test equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators and temperature chambers.

Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section):

  • Demonstrated Expertise (DE) programming in C#, C++, Visual Studio, or Python to automate test hardware for testing integrated circuits.
  • DE using PCB schematic capture and layout tools such as OrCAD or Cadence Allegro for hardware design.
  • DE using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook) to perform statistical analysis of integrated circuit test characterization data to guarantee functionality and performance.
  • DE utilizing signal processing techniques and analog/digital conversion to guarantee data sheet electrical specifications.
