1st Shift: 5:00 am - 1:00 pm
Wages starting at $23.00/hr. for entry level candidates. Some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will train. Selection and compensation will be determined based on the experience and skill set of the candidate. Candidate with heavy equipment operating experience or mining experience are preferred.
Jefferson County Stone is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking candidates to fill our need for an off-road Haul Truck Driver in Louisville, KY. We offer competitive pay with health, dental, vision, 401K, short term disability, long term disability and life insurance benefits. We also offer a variety of safety equipment, paid holidays, and paid vacations. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating rigid frame and/or articulated haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Operate haul trucks to move shot rock from the mine faces to the crusher and begin the crushing process.
  • Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
  • Effective communication skills applicable to position.
  • Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • Willingness to be cross trained on other heavy equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Dedication to safe work practices.
  • Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
  • Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, climb, bend, and stoop, for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
  • Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by management
