Job Description RCS Staffing has an immediate need for an NDE Nuclear Level II/III Examiner in Remote/Hybrid (with travel required). This is a full-time direct-hire Remote/Hybrid assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive package including benefits, vacation and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as an NDE Nuclear Level II/III Examiner As an NDE Nuclear Level II/III Examiner, you will join an expert team providing hands-on nondestructive examination support for nuclear industry projects. This role requires an individual with proven hands-on nuclear industry experience and current NDE Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT). You will set up and calibrate equipment, conduct inspections according to established procedures, interpret and evaluate results, and document findings in compliance with nuclear industry standards.

You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and business development while demonstrating strong communication skills and flexibility to work extended hours during nuclear outage campaigns. As an NDE Nuclear Level II/III Examiner YOU will: Set up and calibrate NDE equipment for ultrasonic testing examinations Conduct inspections according to established procedures and protocols in nuclear facilities Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results in all testing method(s) utilized Communicate findings and technical recommendations clearly to project teams and stakeholders Demonstrate strong understanding of basic physical NDE principles and advanced technologies Perform hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical equipment issues Contribute to the continuous improvement of in-house NDE testing tools and software Participate in business development by identifying project opportunities and providing technical insights Work in radiological and challenging field environments, including nuclear facility outages Accept extensive travel assignments and extended work hours/days/weeks as required Maintain compliance with written procedures and quality practices Support nuclear outage campaigns and project-specific examination requirements YOU are the ideal NDE Nuclear Level II/III Examiner candidate if you have: High School diploma or equivalency with secondary education leading towards an AS/BS in science, materials, or engineering 5+ years of hands-on nuclear industry experience as a Level II NDE examiner (required) OR 5+ years of hands-on nuclear experience with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree Current Level II NDE certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) (required) Demonstrated hands-on nuclear facility experience (required) Strong understanding of basic physical NDE principles and processes Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to document findings and convey technical information clearly (required) Ability to set up, calibrate, and operate NDE equipment independently Competency in interpreting and evaluating inspection results Hands-on troubleshooting capabilities for mechanical issues Willingness to accept extensive travel assignments and extended work hours Ability to work in less-than-favorable conditions including radiological environments and physically challenging activities Ability to maintain focus in hazardous industrial environments (heights, scaffolds, noisy locations, operating machinery) Professional demeanor with strong ethical behavior and respect for peers Team-oriented mindset and commitment to safety compliance It's a BONUS if you have: Level III NDE certification in UT UT certification with Phased Array (PAUT) endorsements Automated UT experience EPRI PDI qualifications or demonstrated ability to acquire them Working knowledge of ASME Codes and nuclear industry regulations Experience with reactor coolant system or Class 1/2 component examinations Knowledge of nuclear plant materials and degradation mechanisms Previous nuclear outage campaign experience Active participation in industry training programs or technical conferences Additional NDE method certifications beyond UT Advanced technical writing and reporting skills About Our Client Our Client., founded in 1983, is an engineering consulting firm of approximately 300 highly qualified professionals and support personnel and 12 office locations.
