Job description

ReNuke Services is seeking a Nuclear Project Manager II for our client’s site in New Hill, NC!

Description:

The primary work location will be the nuclear plant in New Hill, NC. As such, the candidate will be required to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a regulated commercial nuclear facility. This position is classified as ‘hybrid’, which allows that candidates, once proficient with their work assignments, will have the option to work remotely up to 2 days per week if desired and approved by their manager.

The typical work schedule will be 4-10s (M-Th work week, 10 hours per day) with infrequent overtime support (less than 20%) if needed to support project objectives. Candidates will be expected to support a shift work schedule (12 hour days) with potential for night shift support being required to ensure 24/7 support to the project implementation team) onsite during refueling outages.

Travel is expected to be infrequent and minimal (typically less than 10%), only as needed for industry benchmarking, to satisfy offsite witness hold points, or to participate in factory testing at vendor facilities.

It is strongly preferred that candidates have current or previous Project Management experience in a commercial nuclear generation environment.
The Project Manager will be the single point of accountability for managing their project team to develop and implement all aspects of the project plan, develop funding estimates, manage vendor contracts, report project schedule and financial status, and communicate with site stakeholders. Project assignments will vary, but generally include the construction of new assets and the modification of existing power plant equipment. Relevant industry experience will be considered, but experience acting as the Project Manager (as opposed to a stakeholder supporting a project team) within a commercial nuclear environment is strongly preferred
