Schedule: Monday–Friday | Typical Clinic Hours: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Setting: Federal / Military Healthcare Facility Opportunity Overview MD Staffing Services is seeking a qualified Neuro-Optometrist (O.D.) for a full-time opportunity at Fort Carson, Colorado. This position supports specialized care for service members and families affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI) and related neurological conditions. The Neuro-Optometrist will work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team providing comprehensive neuro-optometric evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat visual conditions related to neurological disorders and traumatic brain injuries
  • Perform comprehensive neuro-optometric examinations and advanced neuro-visual testing
  • Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation programs
  • Provide neuro-optometric rehabilitation to improve visual function and independence
  • Evaluate binocular vision, ocular motor control, visual processing, visual fields, and sensory integration
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Provide consultation regarding complex neuro-optometric cases
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Utilize required federal healthcare documentation systems, including MHS GENESIS
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of Neuro-Optometrist experience
  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Neuro-Optometrist
  • Board certification in neuro-optometry
  • Active American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry (ABCMO) certification in medical optometry
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary clinical team
