Job description

The Network Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the companyโ€™s network infrastructure supporting critical customer-facing applications across global datacenters and cloud environments. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer with strong networking fundamentals who is eager to grow, take ownership, and gain exposure to enterprise-scale networks.ย The Network Engineer serves as a primary point of contact for network-related support, works closely with internal teams, participates in scheduled maintenance windows, and contributes to network implementation and improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network performance and respond to alerts and incidentsย 
  • Troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues through resolutionย 
  • Implement configuration changes using established change control processesย 
  • Install, configure, rack, and cable network and server equipmentย 
  • Support datacenter and facilities provisioning, including power and cablingย 
  • Assist with network provisioning such as IP assignments and circuit turn-upsย 
  • Support security policy enforcement using multi-vendor solutionsย 
  • Maintain operational documentation and proceduresย 
  • Participate in weekly maintenance windows (Tuesdays at 3:00 AM ET)ย 
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotationย 
  • Travel to datacenters as neededย 
Basic Qualifications:
  • 2โ€“3 years of experience with networking fundamentals and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRPย 
  • Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS or NX-OSย 
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent practical experienceย 
  • Ability to work onsite at datacenters and the Philadelphia, PA office as neededย 
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to learn in a production environmentย 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Networking certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or similarย 
  • Experience with firewalls, preferably Palo Altoย 
  • Familiarity with datacenter environments and physical infrastructureย 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environmentย
