How much do full time nematode jobs pay per year?
What is the difference between Full Time Nematode vs Full Time Entomologist?
| Aspect | Full Time Nematode | Full Time Entomologist |
|---|---|---|
| Required Credentials | Bachelor's or higher in biology, microbiology, or related field; specialized training in nematology | Bachelor's or higher in entomology, biology, or related field; often includes certifications in pest management |
| Work Environment | Laboratories, field research sites, agricultural settings | Research labs, field sites, agricultural and urban environments |
| Industry Usage | Research institutions, agriculture, pest control | Research institutions, pest control companies, government agencies |
Full Time Nematodes and Full Time Entomologists both work in biological research and pest management, but Nematodes focus on soil-dwelling worms used in biological control, while Entomologists study insects. Both roles require biology-related degrees and involve field and lab work, but their specific focus areas differ significantly.

The Department seeks an individual who can work collaboratively with faculty across academic departments and colleges. Teaching responsibilities will include Nematology and the potential to develop new courses depending on expertise (e.g., Soil Ecology), as well as supervision of graduate students.
