Job Description:
NDi is seeking an Enterprise Architect to lead our Infrastructure Operations Team. The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing operation processes, systems, and technical teams supporting critical customer technology services. The role requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to lead a team of highly specialized operations personnel. This position acts as a recognized technical expert utilizing business management practices, industry standards, and information technology disciplines to develop technical and/or business solutions to client problems. This role requires a high level of diverse technical and industry experience with a requirement to keep abreast of technological developments and industry trends. The Enterprise Architect will ensure a high level of efficiency and customer satisfaction through strict adherence for Statement of Work (SOW) requirements. This position requires a Top Secret national security clearance, and is currently 100% remote with monthly Data Center visitation requirements. Candidates should understand that the Government or NDi may, at their discretion, require this role to be onsite in Washington DC full time.
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must have a Top Secret clearance
  • This position is primarily remote with potential visit customer locations in DMV, West Virginia, or Idaho.
  • Must be available for extended hours, weekend, and on-call support as required by mission needs or emergency situations.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master's Degree w/8+ years' experience or Bachelor's degree and 10+ years' experience.
  • One or more related certifications preferred.
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 platform, including transition to a new tenant.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience designing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-based architectures using cloud-native technologies.
  • Experience leading integration and migration of existing systems to cloud environments and other terrestrial locations, ensuring minimal disruption, and interacting and communicating with senior-level executives.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects effectively.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Microsoft Project for project management and issue.
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and diligently adhere to deadlines and deliverables.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and Root Cause Analysis for any system.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize critical tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ITIL or ISO training and/or certification.
  • Previous experience working with the Department of Justice.
  • Experience with using ITSM for ticketing and change management (ServiceNow specifically).

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with systems administrators, developers, stakeholders, and leadership to develop consensus-based outcomes around provisioning, monitoring, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Designs and develops scalable IT solutions that efficiently and effectively meet defined business needs and requirements, while ensuring alignment to an organization's Enterprise Architecture and IT strategic goals.
  • Develop migration strategies for data, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Evaluate existing infrastructure and applications, identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring proper access controls and permissions.
  • Lead a Team of up to 14 diverse technical staff.
  • Participate in disaster recovery (DR) planning and execution in support of customer requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for designing, developing, and managing service delivery.
  • Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.
  • Responsible for managing incoming requirements, facilitating engagements, and be readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests.
  • Responsible for participating in the full systems life cycle with solution design, development, implementation, and product support using scrum and other agile methodologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance capabilities.
  • Support data center consolidation efforts.
  • Supports creation of new agile processes and recommends changes and improvements to current processes and supporting tools.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
