Job description

Wastech Engineering is hiring! As a Senior Chemical Engineer, you'll help us keep complex, high-impact projects on track while elevating how our engineering team plans, designs, and delivers. You'll partner closely with the Engineering Manager to keep schedules clear and current, provide transparent project status day-to-day, and ensure the right technical decisions are made at the right time.
In this role, you'll guide design activities and offer hands-on support across Engineering, Production, and Sales-jumping into weekly client and internal meetings to remove roadblocks and keep momentum. You'll champion operational procedures that improve efficiency, all while monitoring project costs and performance so we meet commitments safely, on budget, and on schedule.
What You Will Do
  • Provide daily project status and update weekly engineering schedule with Engineering Manager
  • Manage design activities and provide guidance as necessary
  • Provide technical and management support to Engineering, Production, and Sales teams
  • Participate in weekly client and internal meetings
  • Implement and enforce operational procedures necessary to improve efficiency
  • Monitor project costs and performance

Position Details
  • Onsite in Chatsworth, CA at Wastech Office
  • Typical work hours are 8 AM - 5 PM
  • limited travel

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
  • Focus on process background
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong project management experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage direct reports
  • Ability to adhere to safety protocols and perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
