Job description

Take your experience as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to the next level by supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Canton, MI. This contract position provides the opportunity to make a real difference for elementary or high school students, with two full-time openings available.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials
  • Experience in school-based or healthcare OT settings
  • Ability to deliver effective teletherapy services
  • Proficiency with fine and gross motor skills assessment and intervention
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
  • Passion for supporting students’ academic and functional success

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct OT services to students in elementary and/or high school settings
  • Assess students’ needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support learning goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute specialized expertise to educational teams
  • Implement therapeutic activities targeting fine and gross motor development
  • Adapt therapy approaches for both in-person and virtual service delivery, as needed
  • Foster an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere that helps students reach their fullest potential
