Job description

Begin a rewarding contract opportunity where your pediatric physical therapy expertise makes a significant impact across multiple educational settings. In this full-time role (35 hours per week), you'll have the chance to work from August 19, 2026 through May 28, 2027, providing essential support to students ranging from elementary to high school, including grades 5 and 6, as well as home instruction. Manage a dynamic caseload spanning up to nine schools, helping each student achieve their greatest potential.
Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Experience in school-based PT, preferably across a variety of age groups
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills for identifying student needs
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing IEP goals
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and travel between multiple school sites
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with documentation
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical therapy assessments and design interventions for students from elementary through high school
  • Support students' physical mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence, both in school and in some home instruction settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to create and monitor IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy, consultation, and training for staff and caregivers
  • Maintain timely, accurate records and compliance with all district, state, and federal requirements
  • Assist in transition planning and promote accessibility within the school environment
