Funeral Director/Embalmer (Mortuary Science Apprenticeships also available)

Dakota Embalming & Transport Service (DE&TS) has an opening for a Funeral Director / Embalmer. Responsibilities include removals, embalming and crematory operations. This position is full-time with rotational on-call duties. The position offers a set schedule, paid time off, a retirement plan, health insurance and other benefits. DE&TS offers very competitive compensation based on experience.

DE&TS also provides apprenticeships for students pursuing their degree and encourages Mortuary Science students to apply.

DE&TS is the only true dedicated trade service in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, offering a broad range of death care services in a multi-state area. DE&TS is a growing and fast-paced operation that offers a clear difference in the way we value our employees, take pride in our quality of work, and serve our customers.

Requirements/Qualifications:

ยท A degree in Mortuary Science (or working toward a degree in Mortuary Science/Apprenticeship)

ยท Mortuary embalmer with a license to embalm in South Dakota (or be able to obtain a license to embalm in SD) and able to adhere to all professional, state and federal licensing regulations

ยท A driverโ€™s license with acceptable driving record

ยท Be able to pass a background check

ยท A professional appearance

ยท Physically capable of heavy lifting and keeping up with a fast-paced work environment
