Position Overview

Mindful Clinical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our remote team based in Saint Petersburg, Florida. As a full-time clinician within a detox center environment, you will engage with clients facing significant mental health challenges, including severe emotional disorders and substance use issues. Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients in both clinical and community settings to assess and address symptoms of major mental illnesses, ensuring that treatment is tailored to each individualโ€™s needs.
  • Establish trusting relationships with clients by demonstrating empathy, respect, and cultural competency, fostering an inclusive environment where individuals feel safe to share their struggles.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to formulate and implement comprehensive care plans that facilitate seamless access to resources and reinforce client progress.
  • Conduct thorough, evidence-based assessments and screenings, determining the most appropriate interventions and follow-up strategies to support client recovery and growth.
  • Provide individualized clinical services, including crisis intervention, group therapy, and family support sessions, ensuring all interactions are centered on the clientโ€™s presenting concerns and recovery goals.
  • Monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary and ensuring compliance with program protocols and ethical standards.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay abreast of best practices in social work and mental health treatment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress, ensuring timely completion of reports and data submissions in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Be available for on-call responsibilities outside regular program hours, providing support during emergencies or critical incidents.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients struggling with mental health issues exacerbated by substance use disorders. This diverse population may include individuals who are at various stages of their detoxification process, requiring sensitive and responsive care directed at empowering them toward recovery. You will be expected to understand their unique challenges and assist in building coping strategies while providing educational resources on managing their conditions effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Social Work or a related field is required; a Masterโ€™s degree is preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly with populations struggling with mental health and substance use challenges.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative teams and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and standards governing social work practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working within a detox or addiction treatment facility.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and recovery-oriented practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
