Job description

Job Summary
Midwest Fastener Corp is seeking a PIM & Data Administrator who maintains, enriches, audits, and distributes product information across Midwest Fastener's Product Information Management (PIM) platform and related systems. The role supports product content governance by ensuring accurate, consistent, complete, and accessible product data across internal and external channels. Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Category Management, Sales, E-Commerce, Purchasing, Customer Service, Operations, and IT, this position supports product launches, retailer requirements, digital commerce initiatives, and continuous data quality improvement.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage product attributes, taxonomy structures, categories, relationships, metadata, and established data standards.
  • Support product onboarding, new item creation, revisions, discontinuations, and collection of product specifications, packaging, compliance, and retailer-required attributes.
  • Audit product data for completeness, consistency, duplication, and accuracy; maintain validation processes, quality controls, standards, naming conventions, and governance documentation.
  • Collaborate with Category Management, Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, E-Commerce, Graphic Design, and Digital Asset teams to gather, validate, and link product information and assets.
  • Manage syndication and distribution of product content to internal systems, e-commerce platforms, retailer portals, catalogs, and marketing channels, including retailer-specific attribute mapping and data exports.
  • Generate product completeness, data quality, and workflow reports; identify opportunities for process standardization and automation.
  • Support integrations involving ERP, CRM, eCommerce, business intelligence, and digital commerce systems, and provide guidance to users of product data systems.
  • Serve as a primary administrator for Midwest's PIM platform and maintain, update, and enrich product records and digital assets.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in product data management, item setup, marketing operations, eCommerce support, database administration, or related functions.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and understanding of data management principles; comfortable working with large data sets and technical product information.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving ability, organization, project management, communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments, with a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Preferred: Experience with PIM systems such as Akeneo, Salsify, InRiver, or similar platforms; ERP/eCommerce/content management systems; product taxonomy, digital asset management, and data governance; and retail, distribution, manufacturing, hardware, or industrial product environments.
