Install and Service Technician

Location: Midwest Security Systems Inc.

Midwest Security Systems Inc. is a family owned and operated security systems integrator. Our business uses a collaborative, team-oriented approach to service and installation. Job Type:

· Full Time Technician, Monday-Friday.

· May require overtime on certain shifts.

· Travel required. 75%-100% of the month. Weekends Off.

Pay Rate:

· Negotiable based on experience.

· Guaranteed salary plus overtime.

· Yearly bonus based on performance.

Job Description:

· Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain access control systems, locking devices, and IP video surveillance.

· Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, and video cameras, and attach electrical wiring to connect components.

· Services and supports existing customers by responding to service calls and carrying out Customer Support Programs.

· Stay informed of new products and developments. Request orders for replacement parts.

· Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.

Physical Demands: Physical demands must be met for the employee to perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee will be required to:

· Climb ladders, carry, and pull spools of wire.

· Hang equipment on walls.

· Lift up to 50 pounds with frequent prolonged periods of standing, bending, pulling, twisting, reaching, climbing, and standing.

· Vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision to adjust focus.

· The employee may be exposed to extreme weather conditions.

· Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record for vehicle operation.

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

· Previous experience preferred with IP Video Surveillance and Access Control

· Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks

· Willing to train the right candidate with no experience in the industry

· Ability to develop basic programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems.

· Personable, outgoing personality.
