What You Will Get to Do:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related core infrastructure services
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive for business operations
  • Ensure the environment achieves and remains in compliance with CMMC Level 2 requirements, including implementing, documenting, and maintaining the associated NIST SP 800-171 security controls
    Support audit readiness activities, including evidence collection, control validation, and remediation of identified gaps to sustain CMMC Level 2 compliance
  • Manage user accounts, security groups, permissions, and access controls following the principle of least privilege
  • Perform regular system monitoring, patching, backups, and disaster recovery activities to maintain system health and availability
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for escalated incidents, troubleshooting complex issues across servers, endpoints, and Microsoft services
  • Collaborate with security, network, and engineering teams to ensure systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards


Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience administering Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) in production environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows networking fundamentals
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 / Entra ID, including identity, licensing, and conditional access policies
  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation of administrative tasks
  • Experience with patch management, endpoint protection, and system hardening practices
  • Understanding of backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • Working knowledge of CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 security controls and how they apply to a Microsoft environment
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong commitment to collaboration and knowledge-sharing
  • Ability to document configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions clearly and thoroughly


Required Years of Experience:

Three (3) or more years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required


Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Microsoft certifications such as:
    - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
    - Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
    - Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC- 900)
    - Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102)
  • Prior experience supporting environments undergoing CMMC, FedRAMP, or DFARS assessments
