Position Type: On-site at CWHH Bluffton, SC Branch Location

Work Schedule: Full-time/40 Hours

$15,000 Associated Sign-on Bonus

The Branch Director assumes responsibility for managing the day-to-day branch operations to ensure the following: operational efficiencies, quality of patient care, regulatory compliance, support of business development & patient base growth, achievement of key performance indicators, and people management/development. The Branch Director supervises the branch/clinical staff. Direct responsibility of ensuring the branch meets applicable Federal, State, and local laws regarding the certification and licensure process at all times. Responsible for long-range planning, fiscal viability, and quality of care provided by the branch. Recruits, interviews, and hires staff, and monitors quality care and organizational performance. The branch director serves as the operational leader collaborating with clinical staff, and branch administrators to coordinate patient care activities, and holds accountability for the continuity, appropriateness, and quality of services delivered.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Oversee branch day-to-day onsite operations, ensuring efficient, productive, and organized office functions that support a safe and compliant work environment aligned with company policies and local regulations.
  • Monitor financial, clinical, and operational leading and lagging indicators, managing to budget, and partnering with Finance and Operations leadership to establish and achieve revenue and budget goals.
  • Collaborate with the Market Executive of Operations (MEO) to develop and implement strategic branch plans, performance action plans, and budgets that align with organizational objectives.
  • Partner with Sales to deliver growth strategies, working closely with Sales Directors and Account Managers to meet budgeted admission goals and participate in marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with Clinical leadership to drive optimal patient outcomes, recognizing and supporting clinical leadership to enhance service delivery and care quality.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical quality standards and operational process adherence, including oversight of chart audits, timely billing, and continuous quality improvement initiatives such as quarterly committee meetings and patient satisfaction reviews.
  • Hire, train, and manage Clinical Managers and back-office associates, providing ongoing supervision, support, and development to promote effective performance and high-quality care delivery.
  • Oversee branch associate engagement, fostering a positive and safe work environment that promotes retention, productivity, and alignment with organizational values.

Background:

The individual must:

  • Be a registered nurse or physical therapist, and meet any applicable state specific requirements.
  • Have experience in health service administration, with at least 2 years of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related health care program (e.g., hospice, hospital, assisted living).
Demonstrated Knowledge/Skill:
  • Possess an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license or Physical Therapy (PT) license in the applicable state.
  • Experience working in a home health or hospice care environment is required.
  • Management and people leadership experience is required.
  • OASIS experience is required.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations governing home health agency operations.
  • Experience motivating, educating, supervising, and supporting staff and developing a cohesive team.
  • Competent in utilizing quality improvement monitoring and reporting tools and methodologies.
  • Background in fiscal management, including oversight of profit and loss (P&L) statements, ideally within a home health care setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multimilliondollar budgets is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms, with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) is preferred.
Prerequisites:
  • Valid Driver's License and Insurance: Must have a valid state driver's license and automobile liability insurance to support travel requirements, including visits to patient homes and attendance at business-related events as needed.
  • Driving Capability: Ability to drive in various weather conditions.
  • Availability: Availability during all operational hours and participation in professional service activities
Additional Information:
  • Normal Hours of Operation: M-F / 8a-5p (ET)
  • On-Call Requirement: This role may require periodic participation in an oncall rotation as business needs arise to support branch operations.
  • Travel Expectations: Up to 10% travel may be required. Travel may include periodic local travel to other branch locations, attendance at regional or area meetings, and participation in annual conferences or organizational events.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$93,000 - $128,000 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
