Are you an organized, compassionate, and motivated healthcare professional eager to make a meaningful impact on patients with kidney disease? Our busy Nephrology practice in Stockbridge, GA is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to become an integral part of our dedicated care team.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare patients for office visits, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories.
· Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient education.
· Perform EKGs, draw labs, and conduct point-of-care testing as directed.
· Manage and document patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
· Coordinate lab orders, imaging, referrals.
· Support medication refills, prior authorizations, and patient follow-up.
· Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and uphold infection control standards.
· Communicate effectively with patients, families, dialysis units, and other healthcare providers.
Qualifications
· Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred.
· Prior experience in nephrology, internal medicine, or family practice settings preferred.
· Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Epic, or equivalent).
· Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
· Compassionate attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Schedule & Benefits
· Monday–Friday schedule (no nights, weekends, or major holidays): 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
