Job description

The Maritime Cyber Safety Compliance Analyst will support the Sr. Director, Maritime Cyber Safety Compliance and Maritime Cyber Safety Team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of global maritime cybersecurity compliance frameworks and initiatives to help ensure adherence to cybersecurity regulations and standards across the global fleet. This role supports the cybersecurity and cyber safety governance of the organization's operational technology (OT) environment across all brands. The ideal candidate will have experience or demonstrated interest in cybersecurity, compliance, risk management, and governance, along with a foundational understanding of maritime cybersecurity regulations and industry standards established by the IMO, International Class Societies, Flag & Port States, and other regulatory bodies. Responsibilities include supporting the development and maintenance of procedures, assisting with audits and risk assessments, tracking compliance activities, maintaining documentation and records, and contributing to the ongoing governance and compliance of Maritime OT assets.

Responsibilities 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of global maritime cybersecurity compliance frameworks, standards, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the identification, assessment, documentation, and tracking of compliance risks related to cyber safety across the global fleet.                                                                 
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining compliance with applicable maritime cybersecurity regulations, standards, and industry guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Legal, and Maritime Technical Operations, to support cybersecurity compliance activities and initiatives.              
  • Participate in cybersecurity compliance-related incident response activities, including documentation, investigation support, and corrective action tracking.                                 
  • Support cybersecurity audits, assessments, and compliance reviews by gathering evidence, tracking findings, and assisting with remediation activities.              
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and delivery of cybersecurity compliance training and awareness initiatives.                                                                        
  • Monitor, maintain, and report on compliance metrics, action items, and key performance indicators across operating units.                                                                        
  • Stay current on emerging cybersecurity regulations, maritime industry requirements, and compliance best practices.                                                                     
  • Support team initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the Maritime Cyber Safety Compliance program.                                                             
  • Performs other duties as assigned.                                                                 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in cybersecurity or compliance preferred. Advanced degree in a related field is a plus.

  • 5 years minimum experience evaluating and implementing cybersecurity systems that protect, detect unauthorized system access and vulnerabilities. 

  • Extensive experience building process, controls, operating procedures, and guidelines. 

  • Demonstrated ability to apply OT-related knowledge and experience in solving compliance issues by documenting preventive and corrective action plans. 

  • Preferred: Proven 5 years' experience in cybersecurity analysis, compliance, and audits.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities.

Travel: Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as "in-office."  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their home on Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

    • Sick Time - All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year.  Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
