Pay Rate:  $20 Hr


Machine Operator - Manufacturing Opportunity

We are hiring a Machine Operator I - MI Cable to support our manufacturing and production operations in Swedesboro, NJ. This position is ideal for experienced machine operators, production technicians, or manufacturing associates who have experience operating industrial machinery, automation equipment, and production systems.

The Machine Operator will operate MI cable production machinery, monitor production processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure all products meet quality control and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate industrial machinery and MI cable manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently. 
  • Monitor production processes to ensure output meets specifications and quality standards. 
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products to verify compliance with quality requirements. 
  • Adjust machine settings and production equipment for different cable sizes and product specifications. 
  • Record production data, quality checks, and machine performance information
  • Perform equipment changeovers, machine adjustments, and minor repairs when necessary. 
  • Identify mechanical or equipment issues and communicate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime. 
  • Test components and finished goods using: 
    • Megohmmeter 
    • Low resistance ohmmeter 
    • Multimeter 
    • Hi-Pot tester 
    • Thermal imaging camera 
    • Clamp meter 
  • Prepare materials and components used by automation and production machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment
  • Follow all manufacturing safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of machine operator or manufacturing experience 
  • Experience operating industrial machinery or automated equipment 
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and production equipment 
  • Knowledge of measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and torque testers 
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and mechanical equipment 
  • Basic math and measurement skills 
  • Ability to follow production instructions and technical procedures 
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work around machinery for extended periods 
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
     
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Experience with automation equipment or automated manufacturing systems 
  • Familiarity with MI cable production or electrical cable manufacturing 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or blueprints 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
     
Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing / industrial production environment with powered automation equipment and machinery. Candidates must follow all safety protocols and production procedures.
