Manufacturing Laborer

Penn United Technologies, Inc. is hiring for a full-time Manufacturing Laborer to join our Carbide team.  This is an excellent ENTRY LEVEL position assisting in the manufacturing process.  NO prior manufacturing experience is needed.  If you are ready to get to work and start your career in manufacturing, find out why so many of our employee-owners agree that...  Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Laborer:  

  • Handle carbide components with care
  • Sharp-edge removal of parts
  • Segment stock with hand saw
  • Clean finish ground parts with air nozzle
  • Load and push cart to deliver carbide components and supplies to other teams within the building
  • Transport buckets of material to various teams using a dolly
  • Crush reclaim billets and sift reclaim powder
  • Load, operate and unload sandblaster
  • Scrape clean and repaint graphite plates
  • Assist in shipping with preparing special packaging, packing components, counting and organizing parts and materials
  • Follow work instructions, control and safety plans
  • Follow directions of Team Leader
  • This is primarily a daylight shift position

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to comprehend written procedures
  • High level of concentration and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethics of dependability and responsibility
  • High degree of accuracy, service attitude, commitment to quality
  • Able to work independently and cooperatively with teams
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently throughout the day

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
