Position Profile:

The Denture Laboratory Technician will play a crucial role in the fabrication of removable and hybrid dental prosthetic appliances as prescribed by a dentist to ensure the highest level of quality and patient satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic dental laboratory environment, collaborating with experienced dental professionals to deliver exceptional prosthetic solutions.ย This Denture Laboratory Technician will mostly focus on fabricating wax try-in's for complete, partial, and hybrid prosthetics. Our laboratory is also home to a prosthetics school, and our employees enjoy advanced, paid training and certifications.


Job Duties and Accountabilities:

Denture Technician:

  • Collaborate with dentists, prosthodontists, and Denture Technicians to understand patient needs and treatment plans.
  • Evaluate the quality and accuracy of dental models, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Incorporate necessary markings and indicators on the models to assist in the fabrication process.
  • Fabricate complete and partial dentures based on dental impressions, bite registrations, and other specifications provided by dentists.
  • Utilize various dental materials and techniques to create prosthetic appliances that meet esthetic, functional, and durability requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the denture laboratory, including equipment maintenance and compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Safety:ย Works in a safe manner. Complies with safe work practices, at all times. Reports unsafe conditions or situation to supervisor or management. Understands and fully complies with Lock-out/Tag-out procedures for all equipment and machinery.ย Follows all safety procedures including wearing of all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Teamwork and Collaboration:ย Actively engages in production and team meetings, and provides timely feedback to team regarding work topics. Understands organizational mesh points and potential synergies. Integrates team efforts across work team. Understands available resources and utilizes those resources when appropriate.

Qualifications


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in dental laboratory technology or certification from an approved dental laboratory technology program is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a dental laboratory setting.
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy, morphology, and occlusion.
  • Experience working with adjustable articulators and different occlusal schemes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions from dentists or clients.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in using dental instruments and tools for precise tooth positioning and adjustment.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail to achieve accurate tooth alignment.
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy, tooth morphology, and natural tooth appearance.
  • Familiarity with dental prosthetics, including dentures and partial dentures.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dental restorations.
