Part Time 3pm-11pm

The Gilbert Residence has been proudly serving seniors in our community since 1960. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional care to 90 residents in our Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Nursing Care units.

Our mission is to continue a tradition of excellence by providing compassionate and dignified care for seniors in our community.

A Gilbert Residence Resident Assistant provides exceptional resident care under the supervision of a Med-Tech. They will assist with activities of daily living, participate or lead activities with residents, and perform general housekeeping duties in the assisted living or memory care unit. Our care goal is to aid our residents to maintain an optimum level of independence, particularly with activities of daily living and social interactions.

DUTIES

  • Assist residents with Bathing (tub or shower)
  • Assist residents with meal
  • Assist residents with Toileting (urinal, bedside commode, bathroom)
  • Assist residents with grooming (hair care, nail care, foot care)
  • Assist residents with oral hygiene and denture care
  • Measure intake and output
  • Collect urine and stool specimens
  • Assist residents to transfer from bed, chair, wheelchair.
  • Assist residents with use of walkers, wheelchairs, canes, braces
  • Perform range of motion exercises (active and passive)
  • Assist with ambulation
  • Assist residents in making beds and daily room tidying.
  • Weighing residents & taking vital signs
  • Providing post mortem care
  • Practicing standard precautions and special isolation techniques
  • Assist residents to establish a basic structure to their day
  • Observes residents for any changes in function or behavior
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining cleanliness of residents personal clothing
  • Function as an essential assistant to professional staff members
  • Attend staff meetings, in-service programs, conferences on the unit
  • Perform any other duties that may be required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to understand/take directions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Positive attitude
  • Must be reliable
  • Must have weekend availability
