Job Opening, Amanda OHโ€“ CDL-A required

Fairfield Livestock Logistics is hiring a full-time livestock hauler for local daily deliveries.

In this position you will be loading, unloading, and hauling livestock to a processing plant daily.

Essential job functions would include managing time, maintaining accurate records, communicating with our customers, following biosecurity and other protocols.

Job Summary:

ยท Operates truck and trailer according to state and federal laws. Transports livestock to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.

ยท Obtains load-out paperwork and necessary signatures and returns completed paperwork to office.

ยท Understands bio-security concerns and the importance of cleanliness of clothing and equipment.

ยท Ensures proper timeliness of arriving at loading point, time to load, arrival time and unloading time at destination.

ยท Home daily

ยท Averages $30-$40 hourly rate

ยท Assigned trucks, no slip seats. Late model trucks with manual transmission.

ยท Full-time

ยท Full time mechanic on staff

Job Qualifications:

ยท Must have current, valid state CDL-A License

ยท 3+ years of driving experience

ยท Must meet U.S. Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening pre-employment and be subject to random substance abuse screening as required under USDOT compliance.

ยท Must pass and receive Animal Handling Certificate, Trucker Quality Assurance certification, tractor/trailer wash protocols. Training and tests available on-site.

ยท Have at least one year of experience with livestock handling.

ยท Motor Vehicle Report must be clean and in good standing.

ยท Proper use of self-provided, hands-free cell phones to report progress while on the road.
