Job description

Customer-centric and supportive full-service real estate law firm based in South Florida specializing in complex litigation cases and transactions is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Foreclosure Paralegal to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on Creditor Bankruptcy files in a mortgage foreclosure context, including, but not limited to: opening files in Case Aware, checking LPS, bankruptcy/Pacer Searches, preparing Transfer of Claims (TOC), Proof of Claims (POC) and related notices, Motion for Relief from Stay. Experience with bankruptcy mortgage modification mediation and bankruptcy litigation is a plus. This is a full-time position based out of the firms Boca Raton, FL office.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3+ years’ experience handling Chapter, 7, 11 and 13 Bankruptcy matters; paralegal degree or certificate preferred
  • Must have experience preparing Motions for Relief from Stay, Transfer of Claim, Proof of Claim and related notices and Objections to Confirmation
  • Experience with bankruptcy mortgage modification mediation and bankruptcy litigation is preferred
  • Experience with LPS and CaseAware is preferred
  • Must be experienced with Florida Court system’s e-filing system
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Must show professionalism, good judgment and have the ability to manage in high pressure situations
