STARTING RATE: D.O.E.
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years old
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: State of Nevada Gaming Permit, Valid Driver's License, D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old), and Proof of Unexpired Personal Vehicle Insurance Coverage.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, revenue audit, tax payment, and accounting & reporting functions. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles, Nevada MICS, and federal regulations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires a strong background in automated accounting and control systems in addition to excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel. Must possess strong communication, analytical and organizational skills. Must have the ability to independently manage multiple tasks. Must have a college degree with a major in Business, Finance or Accounting; or a minimum 5 years of gaming accounting experience. A CPA would be preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the finance department.

  • Manage the treasury function to ensure payment obligations are met while minimizing interest and bank fee costs.

  • Monitor and forecast compliance with debt covenants.

  • Manage the preparation of the daily, monthly and annual financial reporting.

  • Assist with the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.

  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.

  • Hire, train, supervise, lead, develop, motivate, schedule, evaluate, coach, and discipline team members.

  • Provide support to management for accounting issues and concerns.

  • Prepare schedules requested for the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely payment.

  • Verify the accuracy of the data transmitted to the financial reporting systems.

  • Maintain company license and entity information with relevant authorities.

  • Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
