Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Corvus Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in support of the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ). This position focuses on systems analysis, querying various data systems, and ensuring seamless data flow across platforms. The Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting legal and operational teams by running complex queries, creating interactive dashboards, and maintaining data integrity across multiple environments.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT systems, data analytics, and large database environments, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Success in this role requires a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across technical and operational teams supporting mission-critical initiatives.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with management, senior data analysts, and legal teams to gather system requirements, analyze data flows, and identify potential optimizations.
  • Create detailed reports and interactive dashboards using Tableau and PowerBI to assist USDOJ teams in decision-making.
  • Perform advanced analytics and automation using SQL, Python, and SSIS to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Utilize ESRI ArcGIS for mapping and geolocation services to support legal casework.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance to support the operational needs of the organization.
  • Work closely under the supervision of a senior data analyst with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and operational teams, to ensure systems meet business and regulatory requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimum Qualifications include:

  • Must be a US Citizen and have ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data, Statistics, or IT related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience performing data analysis.
  • At least one (1) year hands-on experience working with Tableau, PowerBI, ArcGIS, OR Python.
  • Have advanced understanding of SQL
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with MS SQL Server
  • Understanding of legal terminology and processes
  • Experience with US Government contracting
