What You will Do:

QA Technicians will provide inspection services both in-process and at final to drawing, specification and/or standard operating procedure. Detailed documentation of all findings and results via Quality Control Instruction/Quality Control Chart, Quality Notification or Service Notification via Operating Information Landscape and SAP software systems.

  • Capable of taking critical to quality (CTQ) dimensional measurements, and parameters utilizing standard and special gauging. Perform quality & NDE requirements to specification or drawing. Be able to document detailed findings via a Quality Control Chart/Quality Control Instruction (QCC/QCI) and/or in a power-point presentation format.
  • Validate QA/NDE paperwork for accuracies in Operation Information Landscape (OIL), approve, and upload QA/NDE reports/records to SAP or Quality/Service Notification (QN/SN's) as required.
  • Create a Quality Notification (QN) within SAP and task Manufacturing engineer/design engineer (ME/DE) as required. 
  • Confirm their specific operation as complete in Operation Information Landscape (OIL).
  • Responsible to create, verify work/rework, and close their task assigned via the quality or service notification. 
  • Recertify customer requirements to maintain their level II status. 
  • Conduct in-process and final inspection audits and be able to present results to management.
  • Cross train in GT & Combustion new app and service as required.
  • Be flexible and support where needed to ensure manufacturing productivity and efficiencies. 
  • Work and collaborate with COC supervisors, engineers (ME, DE & Operators), managers and technical managers as required on product specific to that COC.
  • Validate paperwork submitted by manufacturing carefully, accurately and communicate any out of specification condition followed by a quality hold or QN as warranted.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, workshops, and events as necessary.
  • Perform any other task that management may deem necessary to ensure productivity and takt adherence.

What You Will Bring:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalence.
  • Minimum of 5 years Quality experience 
  • Must be Level II certified in VT, MT & PT.
  • Proficient with computer and computer software such as power-point, excel, word, SAP, SETP, OIL, email etc.
  • Must be proficient with gauging (i.e., ID/OD mic's, depth mic, caliper's, no-go/go gauges, tri-mic's, thickness gauges, weld gauges, etc.). Be willing to learn specialty gauging such as faro-arm, laser tracker, white/blue light scanning, etc.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills verbally and written.   

Pay Range: ($28/hr to $32/hr). 

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Charlotte, NC.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
