Statesville Analytical is looking to add a full-time position for a Laboratory Tech to our team.  Statesville Analytical provides top quality analytical services to local government facilities across North Carolina. For the past 25 years we have specialized in water and wastewater laboratory services. Our modern facility is staffed with highly trained and certified professionals. We are a 100% woman owned company located in Statesville, North Carolina.  The Laboratory Tech provides knowledge on complex to lab support policies, and practices while completing documents and helping customers.

Laboratory Tech Responsibilities:

Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:

  • Preparation of samples using standard techniques
  • Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques
  • Calculating data
  • Supports analytical testing process using complex to specialized lab support knowledge in the collection and review of conditions, including preserving samples, completing sample preparation, documenting, and communicating results.
  • Disposes of laboratory materials and samples using well established guidelines and instructions.
  • Reviews, completes, and processes complex to specialized degrees of logs, documents, databases, and related materials and information.
  • Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
  • Promotes and supports by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

           BS in a biology, chemistry or equivalent science field, as with 2 years experience or HS diploma or equivalent, with 4 years of lab support experience.

  • Computer applications and systems related to the work.
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve.
  • Mobility to work in a lab and office setting, use standard office and lab equipment.
