Job description

The WW IPAT FP&A team is driving a strategic shift from traditional bottom-up planning to a highly automated, AI-driven methodology for forecasting Amazon's Worldwide Operations costs. Through TrendCast, our centralized top-down forecasting model, we are not only automating the quantitative forecast but also pioneering the use of Agentic AI workflows to automate financial narratives and actionable business insights.
We are seeking a forward-thinking Finance Manager to lead the integration of AI into our financial reporting cycle. In this role, you will move beyond traditional data gathering and manual write-ups

Instead, you will partner closely with Data Scientists to build and maintain a robust AI Knowledge Base that contextualizes our complex data points. You will design agentic workflows that autonomously generate narratives for key financial documents. Your primary value will be acting as the strategic "human-in-the-loop", reviewing AI-generated commentary, applying profound business judgment, and curating the most critical narratives to present to senior leadership.

Long-term success in this position requires a strategic mindset capable of navigating ambiguity. You must seamlessly fuse deep financial acumen with emerging GenAI capabilities, continuously evolving our AI Knowledge Base while applying high-judgment business insights to fundamentally redefine how FP&A delivers value at scale.
Key job responsibilities
Partner closely with Data Scientists to build, maintain, and continuously evolve a robust AI Knowledge Base, translating complex WW Operations financial data points into structured context for GenAI models.
Design, implement, and manage agentic AI workflows to autonomously generate highly accurate financial narratives, variance analyses, and actionable insights for Trendcast and other key financial documents.
Serve as the strategic final gatekeeper for automated reporting. Rigorously review AI-generated commentary, apply profound business judgment, and curate the most critical narratives for VPs and senior leadership.
Conduct in-depth financial analyses to validate AI outputs and driver-based forecasts, ensuring continuous model calibration, explainability, and absolute financial precision.
Seamlessly fuse deep corporate finance acumen with emerging GenAI capabilities, redefining traditional FP&A processes to deliver automated, scalable value across the organization.
Collaborate effectively with tech experts, Data Scientists, and Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs) to seamlessly embed these advanced forecasting tools into existing financial pipelines and reporting rhythms.
