Job description

Kitchen Cabinet Finisher

We are seeking a Kitchen Cabinet Finisher to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in producing a high-quality finish and is comfortable working both inside customers’ homes and in our finishing shop.

The Cabinet Finisher will be responsible for preparing, masking, and spray-finishing existing kitchen cabinetry as well as sanding and finishing cabinet doors and drawer fronts in our shop.

Responsibilities

In Customers’ Homes

Mask and protect countertops, floors, appliances, walls, and surrounding areas before spraying.

Prepare existing cabinet boxes, face frames, and other surfaces for finishing.

Clean, sand, scuff, and perform minor surface preparation as needed.

Properly set up the kitchen and work area for spraying.

Apply primer and paint using a professional airless sprayer.

Maintain clean spray patterns and consistent, high-quality finishes.

Remove masking and leave the kitchen clean and professional upon completion.

Treat customers’ homes and property with care and respect.

In the Shop

Prepare cabinet doors and drawer fronts for finishing.

Sand primer and coatings between finish stages.

Inspect doors and drawer fronts for imperfections and correct them as needed.

Spray primer and finish coats using an airless sprayer.

Maintain consistent finish quality from piece to piece.

Keep spray, sanding, and work areas clean and organized.

Clean and maintain spray equipment and tools.

Qualifications

Previous painting, spraying, cabinet finishing, automotive finishing, or similar experience preferred.

Experience with an airless sprayer is strongly preferred.

Must be comfortable working with sanders, spray equipment, masking materials, and finishing products.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be dependable, punctual, and professional when working in customers’ homes.

Must be able to follow established preparation and finishing procedures.

Must speak and understand English.

Must have reliable personal transportation to and from job sites and the shop.

Ability to lift and carry cabinet doors, equipment, and materials.

Valid driver’s license preferred.

What We're Looking For

The right person is detail-oriented, reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in craftsmanship. Cabinet finishing requires patience and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who understands that proper preparation is just as important as spraying the final coat.

Experience is important, but work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn our finishing process are equally important.

Position: Full-Time Kitchen Cabinet Finisher

Work Environment: Residential kitchens and cabinet finishing shop

Experience: Painting/finishing experience preferred; airless spray experience strongly preferred
