Washington Permanente Medical Group (WPMG) is the clinician-led medical group that provides care exclusively for Kaiser Permanente members in Washington state. With over 1,300 clinicians across more than 30 specialties, WPMG is one of the largest and most respected multi-specialty group practices in the Pacific Northwest.
Summary
Kaiser Permanente - Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a full time (0.8 FTE) Hospitalists to join our Seattle team based at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington.
Washington Permanent Medical Group (WPMG) hospitalists care for Kaiser Permanente of Washington (KPWA) patients at Swedish First Hill with a wide variety of medical issues. WPMG hospitalists are available 24 hours a day to admit, provide excellent, personalized medical care, act as intermediaries for Kaiser Permanente of Washington patients along with subspecialty consultants.
WPMG hospitalists care for Kaiser Permanente of Washington patients with cardiac and neurologic issues at the Swedish Cherry Hill campus. WPMG hospitalists work closely with our Cardiologists and Neurosurgeons to provide comprehensive care. Our hospitalists also work with Swedish Neurology teams to provide full spectrum Acute Neurology care.
Central Hospital Inpatient Service Unit (CHIPS) is an 18-bed unit operating at KP Central Hospital. Central Hospital provides medical and surgical inpatient services with the addition of telemetry for low acuity patients. Physician care is administered by an IM/FM Hospitalist team, Surgeons and Consultative Specialists. Radiology, laboratory and pharmacy services are available 24 hours a day. Bedside nursing care is supplemented by respiratory, physical, occupational and speech therapists as well as dietary services and social work/discharge planning.
Core components of this position include:
  • Community Hospital Admitting/Rounding & Inpatient management
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary Inpatient care
  • Work collaboratively with specialist , nursing and case management
  • Consultations in urgent care and ED if needed to amplify efficiencies

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $324,583 to $381,863 (salary will be prorated based on FTE, new hire salaries will be based on factors such as education, training and experience)

  • Required: BE or BC IM/FM Hospitalist
  • Ability to obtain: Unrestricted Federal DEA
  • Ability to obtain: WA State Medical License
