Job description

Join the House of Seven Brothers team! We're looking for a Host/Busser who enjoys working with people and keeping things running smoothly. Great tips and a great team await.
The Host/Busser creates a welcoming environment for guests by ensuring the dining room is clean, free from trash and debris, and tables are set up properly. Greets all guests with genuine enthusiasm and warmth upon arrival, informs guests of their wait time, enters guest names into the reservation system, and shows guests to their table. Coordinates and communicates with wait staff regarding station assignment, seating, and general customer satisfaction. Always thanks guests as they leave and invites them to return.
*Native American hiring preference for qualified candidates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Adjust seating flow in such a manner as to balance customers among the wait staff and their stations.
  • Provides menus to guests once they are seated.
  • Insures all menus are presentable and clean.
  • Refills water for guests.
  • Receive and record reservations by phone or in person.
  • Manage special seating requests of guests consistent with table availability.
  • Run paging system; prioritize seating needs to accommodate those with special needs, tiered gaming or tribal privileges, managing customer seating with a gracious manner.
  • Pre-bus tables/Bus tables.
  • Be able to take direction.
  • Replenishes and restocks supplies, silverware, glassware, dishes and assure clean sanitation in side stations.
  • Work with a calm sense of urgency.
  • Assist with the duties of servers as needed to maintain service effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Always thanks guests as they leave and invites them to return.
  • Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow all general and department policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • One (1) year restaurant experience preferred.
  • No previous experience necessary.
  • Must be enthusiastic and enjoy working with people.
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
  • Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
