The World's Largest Broadcast Software Provider.
RCS Worldwide is home to four industry-defining brands: RCS, Media Monitors, Mediabase, and Florical Systems - serving the broadcast, music, and media intelligence markets across 120 countries. Every day, thousands of radio and television stations around the world rely on RCS technology to stay on air, sound great, and compete in a rapidly changing landscape.
Here is what makes us different:
We are the company behind the scenes of media that billions of people consume every day. When a song plays on your favorite radio station, when a song charts in the music industry, when a TV network stays on air without a second of downtime - there is a good chance RCS technology played a role. Our portfolio touches every corner of the media ecosystem, from playout and music scheduling to international advertising intelligence and airplay analytics.
We are a global team passionate about the industry we serve and moving with the speed and ambition to lead it forward.
If this opportunity excites you, but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification, we encourage you to apply. At RCS Worldwide, we know that great talent comes from many different backgrounds and experiences. We're committed to building an inclusive, collaborative workplace where people can grow, contribute, and make a meaningful impact.
What We Need:
We're looking for a talented full stack developer to help build the next generation of programming, playout, and content delivery systems for radio, streaming, and other digital platforms.
This is a high-visibility role with real room for growth. You'll work closely with our tech lead and Manager of Software Engineering to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain web applications and the APIs behind them - systems that run in the cloud, on the edge, and everywhere in between.
We're looking for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment: someone who can multi-task, take ownership of problems, and deliver against deadlines without losing sight of quality.
What You'll Do:
Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and ship high-quality software components using object-oriented and component-based patterns, with an emphasis on reuse, test-driven development, and automation
  • Build new features and enhancements for existing products, from intermediate to highly complex in scope
  • Write, test, and deploy React front ends and Node.js/TypeScript back ends, along with the serverless infrastructure that supports them
  • Work with our Architects to translate business and customer requirements into detailed technical designs and component specifications
  • Deliver software with minimal defects; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues quickly
  • Estimate level of effort and contribute to planning for new features and system changes
  • Identify technical risks early and work with the team on mitigation plans
  • Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines to keep releases smooth, fast, and reliable
  • Support and troubleshoot code running on edge devices deployed in the field
  • Use monitoring, alerting, and dashboards to keep an eye on system health and catch issues before they become problems

What You'll Need:
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in front end, back end, or full stack web development, with solid grounding in Agile principles and QA methodologies
  • Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js
  • Experience building UIs with React
  • Comfort with Python, particularly for data science or AI/ML workloads, is a plus
  • Experience with AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, SQS, Docker, etc.)
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation, ideally with AWS CodePipeline and CDK
  • Familiarity with CloudWatch (or similar) for monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding
  • Experience with NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational databases (Postgres or MySQL)
  • Experience with event-driven message based integrations
  • Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills across a variety of hardware and software environments
  • Experience profiling and tuning applications for CPU/memory efficiency
  • A track record of writing maintainable, extensible, future-proof code
  • Experience with end-to-end and user acceptance testing in an Agile context
  • Experience handling audio/media files and streams is a strong plus
  • Experience with code running on edge or field-deployed devices is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to go deep on technical detail with peers and simplify complex concepts for others
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team

What You'll Bring:
  • Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return
  • Experience with various technical disciplines and applications
  • Close attention to detail, following up until issues are resolved
  • Ability to multitask on a variety of critical projects
  • Ability to work independently, while also collaborating with others
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate moderately complex technical information within the team
  • Skills to recognize and solve frequently occurring problems
  • Analytical thinking
  • Resourcefulness and independent judgement

Compensation:
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
