Description

Quantum Sky is searching for a Senior Audit Lead to support our federal customer in Washington, DC. In this role, you will provide strategic direction, technical leadership, and executive-level oversight for an enterprise-wide cybersecurity audit program. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in federal IT auditing, including FISMA compliance, FISCAM methodologies, GAO audit standards, and experience operating within classified environments. Prior experience serving as an auditee and leading coordination efforts across auditors, inspectors, and key stakeholders is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and advise on IT security frameworks, audit methodologies, and industry best practices, ensuring alignment with federal standards and regulatory requirements
  • Directly support executive leadership by translating complex audit and cybersecurity findings into actionable risk insights and recommendations
  • Provide subject matter expertise for annual, enterprise-level program audits, including FISMA, FISCAM, DoD, and GAO audits.
  • Evaluation organizational cybersecurity posture, risk management practices, and compliance with applicable laws, policies, and frameworks.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve security controls, governance, and compliance maturity across the enterprise
  • Serve as trusted advisor to stakeholders on audit readiness, remediation strategies, and continuous improvement of programs
  • Interface with client's senior management personnel, including briefings up to CIO/CISO level
  • Occasional travel to various program sites to ensure sound program execution may be necessary
  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and flexibly adapt to changing conditions
  • Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative requiring minimal supervision
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years managing enterprise level cybersecurity audits (FISMA, FISCAM, IRS, DoD, GAO, etc)ย 
  • CISSP or CISA certifications
  • Strong leadership, written and verbal communication, and analytic and problem-solving skills are required

Desired:

  • Master's Degree
  • Other relevant cybersecurity certifications are a plus

Clearance:ย 

  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required

Location:

  • Hybrid-remote in Washington, DC (~1 day onsite/week with willingness to travel to the customer site, as needed)

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $150,000-$170,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
