What is a contractual IRS Cyber Security professional?

Contractual IRS Cyber Security professionals are individuals hired on a contract basis to help the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) protect its digital assets and sensitive taxpayer data from cyber threats. They work on specific projects or for a set duration rather than as permanent employees. Their duties may include monitoring networks for suspicious activity, responding to security incidents, and implementing cybersecurity measures in compliance with federal standards. Their role is crucial in maintaining the security and integrity of IRS systems.
