EEG Technician – Full Time

Location: Englewood, Colorado
Department: Clinical Services
Reports To: Clinical Manager / Supervising Neurologist

Job Summary

The EEG Technician performs routine and ambulatory electroencephalogram (EEG) procedures to support the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. This role is responsible for preparing patients, conducting EEG testing, ensuring high-quality data acquisition, and maintaining compliance with clinical and regulatory standards in an outpatient clinical setting.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Technical Duties
  • Perform routine and ambulatory EEG studies according to established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for EEG procedures by explaining the process, obtaining consent, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Apply electrodes accurately using the International 10–20 system.
  • Monitor EEG recordings for technical quality and patient safety.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during testing.
Patient Care & Education
  • Provide patient education regarding testing procedures and expectations.
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the procedure.
  • Respond appropriately to patient needs during testing.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Document procedures, observations, and technical findings accurately in the EHR.
  • Maintain equipment, ensure cleanliness, and follow infection control protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
  • Completion of an accredited EEG Technician training program or equivalent clinical experience
  • Minimum 1 year EEG experience preferred (new graduates considered with training support).

Preferred Qualifications
