What Are We Looking For?
NHUC is currently looking for a is currently looking for a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our team. The LPN prepares patients for physicianโ€™s visit, shows patient to room or treatment area, takes vital signs, and documents the patientโ€™s reason for the office visit. The LPN will cross-train, and perform the duties of a patient services representative as needed.
Do You Have What It Takes?
A good candidate will bring with them:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Practical Nurse licensure in South Carolina
  • Experience with taking vitals, phlebotomy, and EKG
  • General knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality
  • Computer skills and knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Current CPR certification and to be trained in OSHA/HIPAA compliance
  • Willing to work 12 hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Willing to work at other centers to ensure staffing coverage
  • Ability to reflect our mission, vision, and values through actions and conduct.
An ideal candidate would also have:
  • Associateโ€™s degree in practical nursing
  • 1+ year of LPN experience in a physician practice/outpatient setting
  • Ability to effectively utilize EMR software
