Full Time Insurance Estimator information

What does a full time insurance estimator do?

A Full Time Insurance Estimator is responsible for assessing damage to property, vehicles, or other insured items and determining the cost of repairs or replacements for insurance claims. They review claims, inspect damage onsite or through photos, and use specialized software to calculate accurate estimates. Their work ensures that policyholders receive fair compensation and helps insurance companies manage claim costs. This role often involves communicating with customers, contractors, and insurance adjusters to gather necessary information and resolve disputes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time insurance estimator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Time Insurance Estimator, you need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a background in insurance, construction, or a related field, often supported by relevant certifications. Experience with industry-standard estimating software such as Xactimate, Symbility, or similar systems is typically required. Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills help build trust and clarify complex information with clients and stakeholders. These skills ensure accurate claims assessments, efficient workflow, and customer satisfaction, which are critical for success in this role.

What are some common challenges faced by full time insurance estimators and how can they be effectively managed?

Full Time Insurance Estimators often face the challenge of balancing accuracy with efficiency, especially when handling multiple claims or complex cases. Meeting tight deadlines while ensuring detailed assessments can be demanding, so strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Estimators must also keep up with evolving industry standards and communicate clearly with both clients and internal teams. Building strong relationships with contractors and adjusters, and regularly attending training sessions, can help overcome these challenges and support professional growth.

Kaizen Collision Center – Colorado | Multiple Locations

Experienced Estimators: Your Performance Should Pay

Kaizen Collision Center is hiring experienced Collision Repair Estimators at multiple locations throughout Colorado.

We’re growing, our shops are busy, and we’re looking for experienced estimators who can do more than write a repair plan.

We’re looking for estimators who know how to sell.

You know how to build trust with a customer, explain the repair process, overcome objections, capture the job, write a complete repair plan, and keep that repair moving from vehicle check-in through final delivery.

If you’re a proven producer who knows your numbers and wants an opportunity where your performance can directly impact your earning potential, Kaizen wants to talk with you.

Compensation

Up to 6% commission with the opportunity to earn $200,000+ annually.

Compensation is based on experience, production, performance, and the applicable compensation plan.

What You’ll Do
  • Sell collision repair services and convert estimates into repair opportunities
  • Build trust and strong relationships with customers
  • Write complete and accurate repair plans using industry estimating software
  • Perform detailed vehicle inspections and damage analysis
  • Blueprint repairs and identify hidden damage
  • Prepare and manage supplements
  • Communicate effectively with insurance companies and adjusters
  • Explain repair recommendations and procedures to customers
  • Provide customers with timely repair updates
  • Coordinate with technicians, painters, parts personnel, and production teams

This Opportunity Is for Proven Producers

This is not an entry-level estimating position.

We’re looking for collision professionals who understand that being a successful estimator requires more than knowing how to write a sheet.

You know how to write the repair.

You know how to sell the repair.

You know how to keep it moving.

And you understand that every customer interaction, repair plan, supplement, and production decision impacts the success of the shop.

If you’re currently producing at a high level and want to join a growing collision repair organization where your performance can translate into $200,000+ earning potential, we want to hear from you.

Apply today to join Kaizen Collision Center.

Estimator opportunities are currently available at multiple Kaizen Collision Center locations throughout Colorado.
